Homeopathy

HOMEOPATHY is a system of medicine used successfully by more than 30 million people across Europe. They use it to treat everything from acute fevers, sore throats, stomach bugs and toothache, to chronic illness such as arthritis, eczema, asthma, anxiety, depression, insomnia and much more. Samuel Hahnemann, a German doctor working in the late 18th century, developed the scientific and philosophical foundations of homeopathy, but the principles behind homeopathy date back to Ancient Greece.

Homeopaths understand that establishing good health involves both the mind and body. During the first consultation time is taken to assess the patient’s symptoms, along with their general physical and emotional characteristics. Personal and family medical histories are explored, including any current medication. The homeopath uses this information to prescribe an individualised remedy to treat the patient’s condition. The homeopathic remedy can be taken alongside conventional drugs.

A recent study at Bristol Homeopathic Hospital assessed over 6,500 patients being treated for a wide variety of chronic conditions. It showed that over 70% experienced positive changes in their health, with greatest improvements seen in children: 89% of under 16’s with asthma reported improvement. All patients had been referred by a GP or specialist and many had previously tried conventional treatment without success

The clinic’s homeopaths offer free 15-minute no-obligation telephone assessments. So if you are unsure whether homeopathic treatment would be suitable for you, contact the clinic for an assessment. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
